No. Open the app and scan your first receipt before you make an account. You can make the account permanent at any time without losing a single receipt.

No. When you sign up you get a six-digit code by email, so there is no password to invent or forget. Sign in on a new phone with the same email and everything is there.

Start with the jobs you are on now. Job totals are useful from the first receipt, and supplier totals after a couple of weeks.

iOS and Android. There is no web app for end users. The work happens at the counter, on a phone.

No. There is no bank or card feed at all, and there never will be. Nothing to authorise, nothing to re-link, no passwords to hand over.

You do not type anything. You take a photo and the AI reads the supplier, every line item, the tax and the total off the paper.

You can edit every field, and the original photo stays attached. If the total or supplier came back unreadable, the receipt is flagged for review instead of saved wrong. Images that are not receipts are turned away.

Manual entry takes a supplier name and an amount. Everything else is optional, and the receipt still counts toward a job like any other. Manual entry is unlimited on every plan.

Photograph them the same way. The app reads invoices and counter receipts alike, and captures the invoice number when it is on the document. Reports show which receipts are missing an invoice number, so you can spot gaps before an accountant does.

No. Receipts come in as images, from the camera or the gallery. PDF files and forwarded emails are not supported.

No. Scanning and browsing need a data connection. There is no offline mode and no scan-now-send-later queue.

That is what the supplier directory is for. Every spelling of a supplier is filed against one record, so your spend at each supplier is one real number, not five partial ones.

No. Jobs, budgets and live job costs are free on every plan. The job screen shows the total so far, where it went by category, and how much of the budget is left.

Yes. The Client Expense Report lists every cost you carried for one client, on one job or all of them, down to the line item if you want. The Job Report is the complete file on a single job. Both are on Pro and export to PDF and CSV.

No. A receipt goes to one job whole. Most people scan per job at the counter, or put a shared supply run against the job that took most of it. If splitting matters to you, this is a real limitation and worth knowing before you start.

No. Jobs are flat, with no phases, sub-jobs or cost codes, and one budget number per job. On a multi-phase build the pattern is one job per phase, all under the same client, and the client expense report rolls them into one document. There is no limit on how many jobs you can have.

No, and it will not pretend to. The app records expenses only. There is no revenue, contract value or draw schedule in it, so it cannot work out profit or margin. What it tells you is exactly what a job has cost you, against the budget you set.

The receipts survive and become unassigned. Deleting a job never destroys expense history.

No. Because every receipt is already recorded and categorised, it produces a tax-ready report of your recorded expenses with a potentially deductible total. It is not tax advice and it does not file anything.

Yes. The tax report runs for a calendar year or any single quarter, which is what quarterly estimated tax needs.

No. There is no mileage, trip or odometer data in the product at all.

AI scans have a monthly allowance on each plan: 10 on Free, 60 on Plus, 200 on Pro. You are told when you reach 80% of it, never during a scan. Manual entry, browsing and keyword search are unlimited on every plan.

Yes. You can have up to five accounts, each with its own currency, timezone and colour, and each account keeps its data separate.

Each account has one currency, which you set. There is no currency conversion and no multi-currency support.
