Tax time is a report, not a shoebox.
Run the period you actually need — a calendar year, or any quarter — and hand the result to your accountant as a PDF or a CSV.
Quarters, because that is how you pay
Self-employed people pay quarterly estimated tax, and most tools assume a calendar year. The report runs for an arbitrary quarter as easily as a full year.
What is on it
A complete picture of recorded expenses for the period, built from the receipts you already photographed.
- Total recorded expenses and receipt count for the period
- Potentially deductible total — every active category except Miscellaneous
- Category breakdown with amounts, receipt counts and percentages
- Full financial roll-up: subtotal, discount, tax, tip, delivery and service charges
- Payment-method breakdown, including card last four
- Month-by-month trend across the period
- Receipts missing an image — the audit-trail gap, surfaced before it matters
It flags its own gaps
Every report tells you what is thin before you send it: which receipts have no image, which have no invoice number, which are sitting in Miscellaneous. Fix them first, then export.
The other reports
Alongside the tax report there is a supplier spend report, a per-job report, a per-client expense report and an AI-written monthly business review. All four major reports export to PDF and CSV.
What this is not
This is not tax advice and it does not file anything. It produces a report of your recorded expenses, categorised, with a potentially deductible total — the document you and your accountant work from. Whether any given expense is deductible is a question for your accountant.
About tax-ready reports
Does it do my taxes?
No. It gives you and your accountant a tax-ready report of your recorded expenses, split by category, with a potentially deductible total. It is not tax advice and it does not file anything.
Can I run a single quarter?
Yes. The report runs for a calendar year or any arbitrary quarter, which is what quarterly estimated tax actually needs.
Does it track mileage?
No. There is no mileage, trip or odometer data in the product, so a standard-mileage deduction cannot be calculated from it.
